Antioch, CA · Contra Costa · Operator-owned fleet

Antioch charter bus rental from the company that owns the bus.

Our buses leave the Hayward yard and run I-880 to CA-4 to reach Antioch, about an hour off-peak, with a second yard in South San Francisco. No marketplace, no subcontractor, no 20–40% broker margin between you and the people who own the bus. East County deadhead is written on your quote as its own line rather than buried in an hourly rate.

Why it matters who owns the bus

Direct operator vs. national booking marketplace

Most sites ranking for "charter bus Antioch" do not own a single vehicle. They resell operators like us and add a margin. Here is what changes when you skip that layer.

What Antioch charters typically cost

Ranges are published so you can budget before you call. Your quote is itemized to the hour and the mile, and the East County deadhead sits on its own line where you can see it.

Minibus, 24–35 passengers$150–$175/hr

Driver included. Five-hour minimum, so a half day runs $750–$875. Wedding loops, park outings, school runs and BART connections.

Motorcoach, 56 passengers$190–$245/hr

Driver included. Quoted per itinerary on top of the hourly rate because deadhead, tolls and return time change the total.

Recurring shuttle programContract rate

Fixed daily or weekly routes for Antioch employers and schools. Monthly invoicing, PO-based billing and net terms.

Always included: driver, fuel, standard insurance, live tracking. Quoted separately: tolls, parking, driver overnight on multi-day trips, gratuity if you choose to add it.

Antioch FAQ

Answers from the people who dispatch the buses

How much does a charter bus cost in Antioch?

A half-day (5-hour) 24-35 passenger minibus in Antioch typically runs $750–$875 including driver. A 56-passenger motorcoach is quoted per itinerary. Antioch is about an hour from our Hayward yard, so the deadhead is a visible line on the quote. We would rather show it than fold it into the hourly rate.

How far is Antioch from Oakland airport by bus?

About 45 road miles, roughly an hour off-peak on CA-4 and I-680. CA-4 is the constraint, not the distance, so we build the departure early, watch the flight and adjust rather than promise a time the freeway will not give us.

Do you serve Brentwood, Oakley and Pittsburg on the same trip?

Yes. Far East County is one dispatch area for us. The same coach can start in Brentwood, add a stop in Oakley or Pittsburg and keep going west on one driver and one quote instead of three separate bookings.

Are you a broker or the actual bus company?

The operator. Umbrella Global Bus owns the vehicles, employs the drivers and runs its own dispatch and shop from South San Francisco and Hayward under CPUC TCP 0037963 and USDOT 3126263. Nothing is subcontracted and there is no marketplace margin stacked on the operator rate.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance for an Antioch school or venue?

Yes, usually the same business day, naming the district, church or venue as certificate holder. Because the buses are ours we are not waiting on a subcontractor's insurer to answer the phone.

Do you have a wheelchair-accessible bus?

Yes. All three 69-passenger double-deckers carry a wheelchair lift and a restroom, and one of the minibuses is lift-equipped. Tell dispatch how many wheelchair positions the group needs so the right unit is assigned up front.
